Dr. Mahek Shah is Managing Partner at WTM Advisors, a strategy advisory firm that consults with the Fortune 500, big tech, governments, biopharma, and high growth startups worldwide. He is Associate Faculty at Harvard School of Public Health and Brigham Health. He has been an active member of the Clinical Pathways Congress Steering Committee since 2017. Dr. Shah advises Google, Veterans Administration leadership, the World Economic Forum, the World Health Organization, and the Singapore Ministry of Health. He has over 20 years of global experience in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and South America at the intersection of clinical medicine, technology, and business transformation. A sought-after thought leader and keynote speaker, Dr. Shah’s work has been published in JAMA, New England Journal of Medicine, the World Health Organization, Health Affairs, and the Wall Street Journal.
His experiences span industry, consulting, and medicine—Dr. Shah led public and private commercial partnerships at a $4.5 Billion dollar, Andreessen Horowitz and Google Ventures backed biopharma company. Prior to industry, Dr. Shah led the value based care practice at Harvard Business School, with Professors Michael Porter and Robert Kaplan, leading pioneering strategy engagements with clients worldwide and was a member of the Teaching Faculty. He also learned Disruptive Innovation and Jobs To Be Done theories from Clayton Christensen during his tenure at Harvard Business School. Dr. Shah began his career on Wall Street at Citigroup.
Dr. Shah received his MD from Baylor College of Medicine, MBA, and MS from Cornell University, with his BA in Economics, BA in Religious Studies Cum Laude from Rice University, as well as Post Graduate Certificate with Distinction from Harvard Business School.
