Dr. Lindsey Zinck is an Innovation Faculty member at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation and the inaugural Chief Nursing Officer for the Abramson Cancer Center and Cancer Service Line at Penn Medicine. In her role as CNO, Dr. Zinck is responsible for advancing in a collaborative fashion oncology nursing practice in the Cancer Center Shared Services Clinics and Penn Medicine infusion services. Dr. Zinck leads the coordination of nursing care throughout the patient journey, from diagnosis, to treatment, to post-acute care, to survivorship. Dr. Zinck focuses on key priorities in support of clinical teams, providers and patients such as optimizing evidence-based practice, enhancing patient engagement and experience, and innovative operations in support of staff and provider efficiency.
Prior to becoming CNO, Dr. Zinck served as the Associate Chief Administrative Officer for the Cancer Service Line, leading innovations in oncology care delivery. Dr. Zinck joined Penn Medicine more than 11 years ago and has been a regional leader of infusion services for Penn Medicine. Dr. Zinck been an influential leader nationally in her work with the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and the Oncology Nursing Society.
Dr. Zinck earned her BSN from Villanova and her MSN in nursing and healthcare administration from Penn. She earned her PhD in Nursing Science at The Catholic University of America. The focus of her dissertation study was examining patient satisfaction and quality of life between patients receiving Cancer Care at Home in comparison to the usual care in the Infusion Suites.
